Tumor Necrosis Factor Beta (TNF-β), also known as lymphotoxin-alpha is a human recombinant protein consisting of 171 amino acids with a MW of 18.6 kDa. TNF-β is purified from recombinant E. Coli as a single, non-glycosylated peptide. TNF-β is a multifunctional cytokine that controls cellular proliferation, differentiation, and other functions.
TNF-β can be used in a variety of applications including inducing apoptosis, cytotoxicity, and cell proliferation assays. This product is best used for inducing apoptosis to create a positive control.
