pNPP 1-Component AP Microwell Substrate with Stabilizing Pellets is a ready-to-use alkaline phosphatase substrate formulation to detect alkaline phosphatase-conjugated molecules in ELISA and microwell assays.

Alkaline phosphatase substrates are used in ELISA assays to detect alkaline phosphatase-conjugated molecules via a colorimetric enzymatic reaction. pNPP 1-Component AP Microwell Substrate with Stabilizing Pellets contains para-Nitrophenylphosphate (pNPP). This formulation of pNPP substrate also contains a stabilizer to extend the shelf life of the alkaline phosphatase substrate on your benchtop to 2-3 days.

The alkaline phosphatase substrate reaction may be stopped with the use of a stop solution, Stop Solution for pNPP AP Microwell Substrates (STOPP).

Bulk volumes are available upon request.

1. Allow product to equilibrate to room temperature (25°C) prior to use.
2. Add 100 µL to each well. When reacting with phosphatase in alkaline pH environments, a soluble bright yellow reaction product develops that can be read at 405-420 nm.
3. The reaction can be stopped using an appropriate stop solution, such as Stop Solution for AP Substrates (STOPP), for endpoint assays. STOPP does not change the color or the absorbance of the yellow chromogen.
