Now hiring: Technical Sales Associate
Sell and promote ICT’s products and services to life science researchers and industrial customers. Service current customers, establish new accounts, and generate sales leads. Represent ICT at tradeshows and scientific conferences. Manage key customer accounts. Troubleshoot technical questions regarding product use and experimental design. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations. Help monitor competition and business landscape and make recommendations for continuous improvement of product lines. Help manage and enhance ICT’s distributor network of 40 national and international companies. Facilitate and improve distributor communications, such as online training, and quarterly update videos. Assist marketing staff to execute promotional tactics, such as blog postings and attend tradeshows. Ship orders. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations. Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or sales and/or a minimum of one year of sales and/or marketing experience in life sciences or related industries. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office. This position is ideal for science professionals interested in business, and sales and marketing professionals with some experience in life sciences. Market and promote ICT products and services to life science researchers and industrial clients to increase sales and profitability. Develop brand strategies, promotional campaigns, and marketing messages based on traditional marketing methods as well as modern web-based initiatives (internet advertising, social media, and email marketing). Develop content for blogs, white papers, and email campaigns. Produce videos and webinars. Manage and continuously improve ICT’s website and e-commerce capabilities. Update and proof-read ICT’s marketing materials, product literature, and trade show presentations. Help determine product price points. Estimate marketing budgets. Analyze metrics. Manage sales and marketing staff and vendors to accomplish goals. Help monitor competition and business landscape and make recommendations for continuous improvement of product lines. Facilitate and improve distributor communications, such as online training, and quarterly update videos. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or biological sciences with some sales and/or marketing experience, ideally in life sciences or related industries (we will consider non-technical candidates). Must be web-savvy, able to navigate social media, and computer literate in Microsoft Office. This position is ideal for sales and marketing professionals with an interest in life science, and science majors interested in business.
