Ancillary Research Reagents
Selected cellular dyes, apoptosis-inducing chemicals, purified proteases, and antibodies
ICT offers a portfolio of reagents complementary to our apoptosis and protease detection kits, including: cellular dyes, apoptosis-inducing chemicals, purified proteases, and antibodies to selected cell death proteases (WB).
Cellular Dyes
Use these cellular stains and reagents in combination with ICT's fluorescent protease detection kits: identify nuclear morphology, distinguish necrotic cells from apoptotic cells, and label target cell populations. Using these items together in dual staining experiments will save time and enhance your data. (Please see store listings for pricing.)
- 7-AAD is a fluorescent red vital stain. Dead cells and membrane-compromised cells stain red.
- Acridine Orange (266 ug/mL) is a red/orange fluorescent stain. It is a chelating dye and can be used to reveal lysosomes, nuclei, and nucleoli.
- CFSE is a green fluorescent membrane stain that can be used in cell proliferation assays. It binds to membrane proteins.
- DAPI (#6244, 10mg) is a blue fluorescent stain that forms complexes with natural double-stranded DNA. Use it to detect DNA.
- Hoechst 33342 (#639, 200 ug/mL) is a blue fluorescent stain that binds to DNA .
- Propidium Iodide (#638, 250 ug/mL) is a fluorescent red vital stain. It stains necrotic, dead, and membrane-compromised cells red.
- 10X PBS is a concentrated buffer that can be used to wash cells, run cells through in flow cytometry, dialyze proteins, and run Protein G columns.
- Ph-F Inhibitor Probe for Cholinesterase Detection binds to active cholinesterase enzymes; it may be used to study neurological drug candidates or to detect changes in how neurons return to their resting state after activity.
Make positive controls and study enzyme kinetics by inducing apoptosis
ICT is offering a new line of reagents to induce apoptosis, study enzyme kinetics, cleave substrates, and screen for inhibitors. (Please contact us for pricing.)
- Camptothecin isolated from the Chinese herb xi shu (Camptotheca acuminata); an inhibitor of DNA topoisomerase I and inducer of apoptosis.
- Granzyme B (human, recombinant) expressed from human cDNA (residues Ile-21-Tyr-247); 25.4 kDa.
- Staurosporine isolated from Streptomyces sp.; a protein kinase C inhibitor. Cytoplasmic proteins directly modulated by staurosporine may be involved in signaling the induction of DNA fragmentation and apoptosis.
- TNF -alpha (human, recombinant) expressed in E. coli as a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide of 158 amino acids; 17.5 kDa; >/=98% purity by SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC, and FPLC. Fully biologically active.
- TNF -beta (human, recombinant) expressed in E. coli as a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide of 171 amino acids; 18.6 kDa; >/=98% purity by SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC, and FPLC. Fully biologically active.
- TRAIL (APO2L) (human, recombinant) expressed in E. coli comprising residues 114-281 of the soluble domain; 22 kDa; >95% purity by SDS-PAGE. Fully biologically active. Induced apoptosis at 1ug/mL in U937 and Jurkat cells within 5 hours.
